The focus of the show is how skills forged through lived experience, creativity, and hard work can open doors across industries. Uninterrupted has dropped a new ad, narrated by sportscaster Ernie Johnson Jr., using LeBron’s own work history as a jumping-off point. Maverick Carter, CEO of Uninterrupted and co-CEO of its parent company, Fulwell Entertainment, says that Indeed wanted to create something entertaining that challenges traditional job hiring practices.“Their focus on championing opportunities for all and their skills-first approach to help people get jobs hit home for us,” Carter says. “We’ve always believed in platforms that unlock access and create space for people who’ve been overlooked.” ... Brand content is also a way for Uninterrupted to boost its bottom line. Over the years the company has produced content for major brands such as JPMorgan Chase, Nike, and Google, and commercial work remains a key cog in its business. James’s SpringHill Co., which produces TV shows, films, podcasts, and more, reportedly lost $28 million on sales of $104 million last year, according to Bloomberg News. For ‘The Main Thing,’ the NBA star welcomes a varied slate of guests—from Tony Hawk to Teyana Taylor—to talk about how their skill sets shaped their career success.James Whitemore, Indeed’s chief marketing officer, says the goal is to create content that reflects the brand’s focus on hiring for skills rather than just titles or backgrounds: “We’re telling stories that highlight what people can do, not just what they’ve done, and in doing so reinforce what Indeed has always stood for: helping people get jobs by connecting them with opportunity.”

Labor market revisions show 911,000 fewer jobs than first reported

The Bureau of Labor Statistics found that the U.S. economy had 911,000 fewer jobs in March 2025 than initially reported. Looking back, the previous annual benchmark revision covering the 12 months through March 2024 also showed a noteworthy downward adjustment. The initial count reported 818,000 fewer jobs, which was later revised to 598,000 in February 2025.First came a sluggish jobs report showing only 22,000 new hires last week. Now, the Bureau of Labor Statistics has revised previous reports to reflect that the nation had 911,000 fewer jobs in March 2025 than it initially tallied, a reminder that early job numbers are just the first draft of the story. The agency says Tuesday’s revision comes from two main things: Some businesses reported fewer jobs on the census than on the monthly survey, and some didn’t respond to the survey at all, which can skew the numbers.

Kawhi Leonard tried to get a "no-show job" from Toronto Raptors in 2019: report | Sports

Six years out from his last game played for the Toronto Raptors, Kawhi Leonard's departure from the team still manages to make headlines. In its bankruptcy filings, podcaster Pablo Torre uncovered that Leonard had been listed to take home US$7 million per year over four years from Aspiration for what was classified as a “no-show job”: Leonard would have had very little in actual duties to collect the money other than to remain employed by the Clippers.According to Toronto Star‘s Bruce Arthur, the Raptors’ ownership brass in MLSE was “being asked to arrange no-show jobs” for Leonard in the 2019 free agency period by his representative and uncle, Dennis Robertson.“Robertson reiterated Leonard didn’t want to do anything for the money,” Arthur wrote in an article published Tuesday, suggesting that Leonard’s camp was trying to set up a similar “no-show” job as those reported in the recent claims related to the Aspiration findings with Los Angeles.

If you don’t mind that the thrill is pointless, this one’s for you. Otherwise, you may need some therapy when it’s over. Job Through Sept.A patient, a shrink and a gun are the raw ingredients of a chic, sadistic Broadway thriller.Even so, I resisted being forced into alignment with Jane’s point of view, both emotionally and dramatically. In most plays, new layers of behavior are introduced to deepen the characterization, but in “Job” they are so heavy-handed that they trivialize it instead.Though cleverly accomplished, the shift, as Jane turns the tables on Loyd’s supposed probity, makes “Job” feel even more manipulative than other therapy-based psychological thrillers. By comparison, “The Patient,” the FX series starring Steve Carell as a psychiatrist held hostage, seems like a model of earned dramatic tension.

‘No Show’ Job Is Latest Chapter in Leonard’s Clippers Recruitment

The bombshell report is the latest development from the 2019 recruitment, which previously included a lawsuit and league investigation. On Wednesday, Pablo Torre reported that Clippers owner Steve Ballmer paid Leonard $28 million for a “no-show job” as a workaround to the NBA’s salary-cap restrictions. According to Torre, Leonard was paid by Aspiration, a climate-focused fintech company that promoted tree-planting as part of its mission and was funded in part by Ballmer.
